Four Things You Must Be Thankful For!

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
You perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
You are familiar with all my ways. Psalm 139:1-3

#3 – You can Trust God To Provide For You

Since He loves us and knows us so well, we can trust Him to do what’s best in our lives. We sometimes balk at this when hard things come our way. I wonder if He knows what’s happened to me or what is going on with my body.  Jesus instructed His disciples to pray that God would provide for their daily bread, what is needed for each day. If God wasn’t able and willing to do that, Jesus wouldn’t have included it in the Lord’s prayer.

The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
He hears their cry and saves them. Psalm 145:18-19

When my spirit grows faint within me, it is You who watch over my way. Psalm 142:3a

#4 – You have Hope

The kind of hope believers in Christ have is not the kind of hope the world possesses. The world will say that you should have hope, but gives no basis for it. So they may say that they hope things will get better, but will have no assurance. Christians have a rock solid hope that is the anchor of our souls (Hebrews 6:19). We have hope both for this life and the next (I Corinthians 15:19), the hope that is our calling, the hope of righteousness (Galatians 5:5) and salvation (I Thessalonians 5:8). We have Christ in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Jesus is our hope and our helper, our constant companion and friend.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23
